All of Australia is behind our mighty Matildas as their unbelievable run at the FIFA Women’s World Cup continues.
To celebrate the Matildas historic semi-final match against England this Wednesday night, there will be live sites across the State to give Tasmanians the chance to come along and cheer them on.
Minister for Sport and Recreation, Nic Street, said fans can watch the match on the big screen at the following locations:
* Hobart – Princes Wharf No. 1 forecourt;
* Launceston – UTAS Stadium; and
* Devonport – Market Square.
“What the Matildas are doing to grow the game and inspire the next generation is incredible and it has never been a more exciting time for Australian sport,” Minister Street said.
“The live sites will begin streaming at 7pm so come and get your spot from 6pm. Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm so I encourage fans to head along and get behind our Matildas as they look to make it through to the World Cup final.”
