Applications have opened for a “dream job”, offering incredible waterfront living, amazing facilities on your doorstep and the chance to meet people from around Australia and the world.

Expressions of interest are now being taken for new live-in managers to oversee day-to-day operations at Swansea Lakeside Holiday Park, an award-winning venue that boasts Swansea channel on one side and Lake Macquarie on the other.

The new managers will be signed to a three-year management contract.

Lake Macquarie City Council is also seeking managers on a 12-month contract for Wangi Point Holiday Park.

Lake Mac Holiday Parks Coordinator Garry Ellem said the job vacancies offered an incredible opportunity for people seeking the ultimate sea or tree change.

“This isn’t just a career opportunity – it’s a chance to transform your lifestyle and live in a place that other people come to for their holidays,” he said.

“These two sites both offer spectacular views and excellent, resort-style facilities, away from the hustle and bustle of city life but still only minutes away from schools, shops and other services.”

Swansea Lakeside features a huge swimming pool, mini-golf, basketball and tennis courts and children’s playground. Boat ramps and sandy beaches are just metres away.

Wangi Point boasts lake frontage, a children’s playground, stunning bush walks and a nearby boat ramp.

Mr Ellem said applicants who could hit the ground running and help create memorable holiday experiences for holiday park visitors were preferred.

“We are looking for customer-service minded park managers with a passion for people,” he said.

“This is an exciting opportunity for someone to live, work and play in the stunning natural wonders of the local area.”

Applications close 2pm AEST, Tuesday 5 April.
