Landscapes from the hinterland to the western plains are now on display in local artist Marvene Ash’s latest exhibition, Between Two Landscapes, at the Maroochydore Library Artspace.
The exhibition features 20 works by the Sunshine Coast artist.
“For many years I have travelled between two very different landscapes,” Marvene said.
“The coastal hinterland of Maleny and the wide plains of Goondiwindi have provided a painter’s opportunity to explore changing topographical and psychological contents.
“The trees, grasses and seeds represented in this exhibition are a record of these two very different experiences.”
Marvene also exhibited at Caloundra Regional Gallery earlier this year as a part of Kathleen McArthur: Wild/flower Women II: Art, Environment and Activism and was awarded the Best Watercolour in the 2017 Local Artists Local Content Art Prize.
The exhibition is open until Friday, January 25 during Maroochydore Library .

Each artwork on display is available for purchase.
The Maroochydore Library Artspace is an initiative of Caloundra Regional Gallery to provide local artists with an opportunity to display and sell their works to new audiences.
It has seen many local artists exhibit their work since opening in 2017, including Jan Strudwick, Tory Richards, Anna Christie and Lyndon Davis.
