Are you between 13 and 18 years of age and living in Swan Hill, Robinvale or surrounds?
If so, you have a unique opportunity to be involved in and direct the outcome of a significant project through your local library. This is your chance to have your say and create a program that matters to young people in our region.
Swan Hill and Robinvale Libraries are seeking interest from young people to be part of a project in which they will co-design an activity or event with library staff.
Libraries Manager Camille Cullinan said libraries were encouraging young people to put their creative thinking caps on.
“We are hoping to encourage local young people to become actively involved in the planning and delivery of the program.
“The type of program that will be delivered to young people in Swan Hill and Robinvale will be influenced by young people who put their hands up to be involved.
“Whether the focus is on the arts, technology, indigenous matters, health and wellbeing, or something else, the program will have the potential to be used in other public libraries state-wide,” Ms Cullinan said.
Ms Cullinan said the program would provide valuable experience in collaborating with the library service and developing and delivering a community program.
“The opportunity to gain valuable experience in developing and delivering a community program, looks great on any resume,” Ms Cullinan added.
The project is funded by VicHealth and supported by State Library Victoria.
