Local libraries to re-open to public

Lismore City Council is pleased to announce that the Lismore and Goonellabah libraries, along with all other libraries in the Richmond Tweed Regional Library network, will re-open to the public from Wednesday, 10 November.

Library staff are ready to welcome patrons back, however, to ensure the safety of the community COVID-19 guidelines will remain in place. At all times patrons must wear face masks, sign in and out with a QR code, show their vaccination certificate when asked and maintain social distancing.

These requirements are necessary to keep our patrons and library staff COVID-safe.

For unvaccinated patrons, the Click and Collect service will continue to operate.

Manager of Richmond Tweed Regional Library network Lucy Kinsley said it’ll be business as usual with most services available.

“Staff have been working hard to ensure all libraries are ready to re-open, with most services ready to resume, however some programs such as our ‘Story Time’ will take a bit longer to restart. We will keep the community up to date as more programs open up,” she said.
