Adelaide Town Hall will come alive with the sounds of Christmas, along with classical and modern greats, on Sunday 8 December from 2pm at the for 2019.
Hosted by well-loved Adelaide identity Keith Conlon, this year’s gala concert brings together some of Adelaide’s best local talent to celebrate the festive season.
Hear all your favourite Christmas carols, the sensuous chanteuse Louise Blackwell, Women with Latitude choir and world-renowned jazz musician Julian Ferraretto. Plus, enjoy some of the hits from Jesus Christ Superstar, performed by The McCall Sisters and ex-Australian Ballet dancer Tim Rodgers.
Bring the kids and be on the lookout for Father Christmas and his magical elves – who knows what surprises they’ll bring?
Lord Mayor of Adelaide Sandy Verschoor said that the gala was a musical way to celebrate the festive season in the City of Adelaide.
“Adelaide is the only UNESCO City of Music in Australia and this year’s Gala concert is a reflection of our musical culture.
“It’s a celebration of different styles and eras of music, and of course the Christmas Carols that we all know and love.
“The Christmas Gala Concert is a long-standing tradition of joining with the community to celebrate the Town Hall’s history and welcome Christmas with a wonderful variety of music.
