Lord Mayor thanks City’s frontline workers, community organisations

City of Parramatta Lord Mayor Cr Steven Issa will honour the City’s frontline and community organisations for their work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Guests from NSW Health, NSW Police Force, NSW Ambulance, Fire & Rescue NSW and SES, 1st/15th Royal NSW Lancers, and a large number of community organisations will be invited to attend the Lord Mayor’s Community Christmas Celebration – Honouring Frontline Services event on 18 November, where their valuable service to the community during the pandemic will be recognised and celebrated.

“Our frontline workers have made an incredible sacrifice to look after our community through the pandemic, and I want to acknowledge them for their hard work – especially over the past 18 months,” Cr Issa said.

“As we come out of lockdown, and the festive season approaches, we have shifted our focus away from our traditional Christmas celebration, which recognises the achievements of Council and its governing body, to an event that expresses our appreciation for those who have made a difference in our lives.

“On behalf of the City of Parramatta, I would like to thank our frontline workers for all they have done, and continue to do, for our community.”

The Lord Mayor’s Community Christmas Celebration – Honouring Frontline Services is an invitation-only event. It will be delivered with a COVID safety plan and adhere to the latest health and safety advice set by the NSW Government.
