- Hub to house multi-service mental health support to young people
- One-stop shop for service providers to collaborate and support young people
The Cook Government through Lotterywest is providing $1,467,000 to support Youth Focus to establish a multi-service mental health centre for young people in the Mid West.
The Geraldton Youth Hub will be home to multiple service providers, who will collaborate and co-ordinate support for young people while creating a safe, supportive and youth-friendly one-stop shop.
Youth Focus is a State-wide youth mental health service provider delivering free, evidence-based, safe and high-quality services to young people aged 12 to 25.
Lotterywest’s grant will cover renovation costs, furnishing and fit-out, project management and administration, lift and solar panel installation and a therapy garden expansion.
The hub will feature Aboriginal art developed in collaboration with Yamaji Art, private meeting spaces, an open plan co-working space, community rooms and larger meeting rooms, a therapy garden, kitchen and breakout space.
The space is due to open next year.
