Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate Luke Simpson.
The 45-year-old is wanted on warrant in relation to bomb hoax offences.
Simpson is Caucasian, about 180cm tall, of solid build with short hair.
Simpson is known to frequent the St Kilda, Prahran, South Melbourne and South Yarra areas.
Investigators have released an image of Simpson in the hope someone may be able to provide information on his current whereabouts.
