The City of Perth’s relationship with China is an invaluable connection that spans social, cultural, and economic domains. The City has two strong Sister City relationships in China with Nanjing (since 1998) and Chengdu (since 2012).
This year marks the 10th anniversary of our relationship with Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province.
Chengdu is famous for its fiery Sichuan cuisine and is also the hometown of the giant panda.
