The Cook Labor Government is investing $20.8 million to expand the Anzac Drive Industrial Estate in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, creating hundreds of local jobs and providing a major boost to the Goldfields economy.

The funds, provided as part of the 2024-25 State Budget, will facilitate development of 22 new industrial lots, including power and water, as well as a new intersection with Anzac Drive to cater for RAV10 vehicles.

Over the next decade, Anzac Drive West will deliver 61 general industrial lots, attracting more than $200 million in private sector investment and creating more than 700 construction jobs. Once completed, the estate is expected to support more than 850 permanent jobs and inject more than $300 million into the Kalgoorlie-Boulder economy annually.

Construction of the first 22 lots is expected to begin later this year.

As stated by Lands Minister John Carey:

“The Cook Government understands the importance of continuing our record investment into strong and vibrant communities and supporting our thriving resources industry with key infrastructure particularly here in Kalgoorlie.

“We are continuing to invest in and diversify Kalgoorlie’s economy by creating hundreds of new jobs and enabling businesses to expand or establish operations in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.”

As stated by Kalgoorlie MLA Ali Kent:

“This is a massive boost for local industry. I have been advocating for this for some time. We know how important the economic impact of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is and I’m proud to be part of a State Government that listensand acts.

“This $20.8 million investment in Anzac Drive West will provide the necessary utilities, transportation links and land availability for businesses to flourish, driving economic prosperity and job opportunities for the community of Kalgoorlie-Boulder.”
