Police are investigating an aggravated assault in Christie Downs this morning where a man was assaulted with a weapon.
About 4.45am Tuesday 6 November police and paramedics were called to Guy Street after the victim reported he had been approached by a man on the street who demanded his wallet. When the victim stated he didn’t have his wallet he was allegedly assaulted with a weapon and the suspect fled empty handed.
The victim, a 41-year-old from Christie Downs, received several non-life threatening injuries to his leg and arm and was transported to the Flinders Medical Centre.
Southern District patrols extensively searched the area but have not been able to locate the suspect at this time. The suspect is described as male and wearing a dark hooded top.
