A woman has been charged after allegedly assaulting a man in Wollongong at the weekend.
Police have been told about 8.45pm on Saturday 28 September 2019, a 57-year-old man was sitting on a bench in a park on Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Thirroul, when he was allegedly assaulted by a woman.
He suffered minor injuries.
The incident was reported to officers from Wollongong Police District on Monday (30 September 2019) and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.
About 6pm yesterday (Tuesday 1 October 2019), an 18-year-old woman was arrested at Wollongong Police Station and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and affray.
She was granted conditional bail to appear before Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday 29 October 2019.
