A man appeared in court today after being caught drink-driving twice within an hour.
About 12.55am today (Friday 30 August 2019), officers from Bankstown Police Area Command stopped a brown Ford Falcon sedan on Hector Street, for the purposes of a random breath test.
The roadside test returned a positive result. The 26-year-old man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station and a subsequent breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.120.
He was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of drive with middle range PCA. His licence was also suspended.
About 1.45am today (Friday 30 August 2019), police observed the vehicle traveling west along the Hume Highway, Bass Hill, with continuous amounts of sparks coming from the front offside wheel and swerving all over the road.
Police stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Woodville Road, Villawood, and submitted the driver to a roadside breath test returning a positive result.
The man was arrested and taken to Bankstown Police Station and a subsequent breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.098.
The 26-year-old man was taken to Bankstown Police Station and was charged with drive in a manner dangerous drive with middle range PCA and drive motor vehicle while licence suspended.
The man appeared at Bankstown Local Court today (Friday 30 August 2019), where he was granted conditional bail to reappear at Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday 16 October 2019
