A man has been charged after a chicken was killed at a wildlife park in Salt Ash on Tuesday 2 January 2024.
Officers attached to Port-Stephens-Hunter Police District were told that a man removed a live chicken from an enclosure and threw it into a nearby alligator enclosure, where it was killed.
On Thursday 4 January 2024, a 57-year-old man attended Singleton Police Station.
He was given a court attendance notice for the offence of commit an act of aggravated cruelty upon an animal.
He will appear before Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday 5 February 2024.
