A man will face Court after being charged with murder following the stabbing death of a man in Sydney’s south-west in 2022.
Just after 9.00pm on Saturday 19 November 2022, a 25-year-old man presented to Campbelltown Hospital with a stab wound to his torso.
Despite the efforts of attending medical staff, the man died at the hospital.
Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene at the hospital.
Detectives, with assistance from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, established Strike Force Taralye to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
Following extensive inquiries, about 1.00pm today (Thursday 15 February 2024), officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District and detectives from Strike Force Taralye attended a house at Minumurra Road, Gorokan, and arrested a 25-year-old man.
He was taken to Wyong Police Station where he was charged with murder.
The man was refused bail and will appear at Wyong Local Court on Friday 16 February 2024.
