A man has been charged following an alleged stabbing on the Central Coast last week.
About 11.50pm on Monday 17 December 2018, a 31-year-old man presented to The Entrance Police Station with a stab wound to his chest.
Police will allege the man was sitting in his car with a woman in the lower carpark of Toowoon Bay Beach, when they were approached by two men.
One of the men allegedly reached into the car and struck the 31-year-old man with an electronic stun device, before stabbing him in the chest.
The woman drove the injured man to The Entrance Police Station, before he was flown to Liverpool Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
Detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established Strike Force Elphick to investigate the incident.
Following inquiries, about 7.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 December 2018), police attended a home on Anzac Road, Long Jetty, and arrested a 24-year-old man.
He was taken to Wyong Police Station and charged with wound with intent to murder.
The man was refused bail to appear at Wyong Bail Court today (Wednesday 26 December 2018).
Police are still seeking another man who may be able to assist with inquiries.
