A man has been charged with more than 20 offences following an ongoing theft and fraud investigation in the Lake Illawarra Police District.

Strike Force Yaralla was established in December 2018 to investigate motor vehicle thefts, property theft and fraud offences in the area.

On Tuesday 4 December 2018, a stolen Volkswagen Golf was involved in a crash on Daintree Way, Albion Park, leaving a female passenger with critical injuries. The driver of the stolen car ran from the scene.
