Geelong Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have charged a 54-year-old man following a sexual assault in Norlane last month.
Investigators will allege the man approached a 78-year-old woman sitting on a bench outside an Anakie Road shopping centre and sexually assaulted her about 1.45pm on 19 December.
The Bell Post Hill man was yesterday charged with sexual assault and unlawful assault.
He was bailed to appear before Geelong Magistrates’ Court on 11 February.
