A man has been detained by police following the suspicious death of a woman located at Kidman Park overnight.
Just before 10.30pm on Sunday 21 July, police patrols began searching for a vehicle in the Fulham Gardens/ Kidman Park area following concern for the occupants.
Just after 11.30pm, Western District police found the wanted car in Kidman Avenue at Kidman Park, on checking the vehicle they found the body of woman inside, while a man was found to be conscious, but with a serious injury to his abdomen.
The injured man has been taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital under police guard for treatment, his condition is considered to be serious.
Police investigators are treating the woman’s death as suspicious, crime scene examiners are at the scene investigating the matter.
The incident is not considered random with both persons known to each other.
