A man has died after being thrown from a vehicle in the state’s far west overnight.
About 11pm (Thursday 27 December 2018), police have been told a Nissan Utility was travelling along Torquata Place, Broken Hill, with passengers in the tray of the vehicle.
A man, aged 29, was ejected from the tray of the Utility and suffered serious injuries. He died at the scene.
Officers from Barrier Police District attended and established a crime scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old man, was taken to Broken Hill Base Hospital for mandatory testing, before being conveyed to Broken Hill Police Station.
Following inquires, the man was charged with drive manner dangerous, dangerous driving cause death, drive whilst licence suspended, drive with passenger in part of vehicle not permitted..
He was refused bail to appear in Broken Hill Local Court today (Friday 28 December 2018)
