A man has died after being pulled from the Murray River following a boating incident overnight.
About 7.25pm yesterday (Saturday 23 November 2024), emergency services were called to Perricoota Waters, Moama, following reports a man had fallen in the water.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District arrived and were told that the man had fallen from a boat after the vessel suddenly stopped after a water skier it was towing fell in the water.
The 51-year-old man was brought ashore and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he died at the scene.
The water skier was uninjured.
Police have established a crime scene and are investigating the incident.
Officers will prepare a report for the information of the coroner.
