Man dies after single vehicle crash north of Albury, NSW

A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in the state’s south.

About 5.30am today (Tuesday 9 June 2020), police were called to Walla Walla Road, Walla Walla, about 40km north of Albury, following reports a Mitsubishi Mirage had crashed into a tree and through a fence.

The driver and sole occupant died at the scene.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of a 46-year-old man from Walla Walla.

Officers from Murray River Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dash cam footage is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
