A man has faced court today following an Australian Border Force (ABF) investigation into the importation of prohibited goods.
Between June and November 2018, ABF officers intercepted six consignments suspected to contain dimethylamylamine, human growth hormones and other performance and image enhancing drugs.
In August and December 2018, ABF investigators executed Customs Act search warrants at a residential address in Wattle Grove NSW. During those search warrants officers seized a large quantity of boxed and separate vials of anabolic and androgenic substances suspected of being part of the importation and domestic supply of steroids.
On 11 December 2018, ABF investigators arrested a 31-year-old man who was subsequently charged with three counts each of import prohibited imports and three counts of import prohibited tier 1 goods without approval.
He was granted strict conditional bail and appeared today at the Downing Centre Local Court where bail was continued until his next appearance at the same court on 12 March 2019.
