A man will face court Saturday after he was allegedly discovered in possession of a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine, cash and ammunition.
About 10:55am this morning (Thursday 18 April 2019), officers stopped a black coloured Toyota Corolla as part of Operation Tortoise, a state-wide traffic operation for the Easter long weekend.
Following a vehicle search police discovered a package allegedly containing the drug ice. The driver, a 55-year old man, was also found to be allegedly in possession of more than $3000 in cash.
He was arrested and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station.
A warrant to search the man’s house was executed where police allegedly seized a quantity of ammunition.
The man was charged with supplying a commercial quantity of methylamphetamine, dealing with the proceeds of crime and possess ammunition.
He was refused bail and will appear in Coffs Harbour Local Court on Friday 19 April.
