A man will appear in court today charged with trespassing after peeping on a sleeping woman in Stanmore in March.
About 2am on Tuesday 31 March 2020, a woman woke up to a man staring through the window of her bedroom on Cannon Street.
She alerted her housemate and they observed the man to be walking in and out of other neighbouring properties.
The incident was reported to police with officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command commencing an investigation.
Following inquiries, at 8.30pm yesterday (Monday 20 April 2020) police attended a home on Fort Street, Petersham and arrested a 51-year-old man.
He was taken to Newtown Police Station and charged with peep or pry and enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse.
He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Tuesday 21 April 2020).
