A man has been charged following an investigation into the indecent assault of two children on the South Coast.
In July 2020, detectives from Lake Illawarra Police District commenced an investigation into reports two children were indecently assaulted by a man who was known to them.
Following inquiries, officers from the South East Region Enforcement Squad arrested a 44-year-old man at a home in Lake Conjola about 5.40pm on Saturday 10 October 2020.
He was taken to Nowra Police Station and charged with sexual intercourse with person under 10 years and five counts of aggravated indecent assault – victim under 16 years.
Police will allege in court the man indecently assaulted two children on multiple occasions between 2000 and 2009.
He was given strict conditional bail to appear in Nowra Local Court today (Monday 26 October 2020).
