A man has been seriously injured following a shooting in Sydney’s south west overnight.
About 12.10am on Thursday (29 February 2024), emergency services were called to an address on Donnelly Street, Guildford following reports of a shooting.
On arrival, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command located a 40-year-old man suffering serious injuries.
Police have been told the man was shot by an unknown person from a vehicle which came to a stop out front of the address, before leaving the location.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene has been established.
Strike Force NEULAND has been established by the Cumberland Police Area Command to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
