A 31-year-old Cairnlea man has been remanded following an alleged hit-run collision in Ardeer last night.
Police allege a woman was hit by a black Holden Commodore on Ballarat Road sometime before 7.40pm.
She died at the scene.
The man was charged with fail to render assistance in a fatal collision and appeared at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this evening.
He was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
