Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred this afternoon in Sydney’s southwest.
About 1.35pm today (Saturday 27 August 2022) police were called to a carpark at a sports ground on Pembroke Road, Leumeah, following reports of a man being stabbed in the chest.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the 29-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers from Campbelltown Police Area Command secured a crime scene and have commenced an investigation.
Police have been told that several people allegedly fled the scene in a vehicle after the incident.
