A man dressed in a clown mask has been charged after he allegedly pointed a replica pistol at a driver in Sydney’s west yesterday.
About 7.55am (Thursday 19 December 2019), a truck stopped next to a car at traffic lights at Wallgrove Road, Eastern Creek.
A 24-year-old passenger in the truck, wearing the mask, allegedly pointed the fake pistol out his window at a man in the car.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command were called and stopped the vehicle on the M4 in Merrylands a short time later. They found the 24-year-old, clown mask and replica pistol.
The man was arrested and taken to Granville Police Station. He was charged with possess firearm (intimidation), armed with intent, and intimidation.
The 24-year-old was refused bail and is due to appear in Fairfield Local Court today (Friday 20 December 2019).
