Mandurah Detectives are investigating a serious assault that occurred in Mandurah last night, Thursday 17 October 2019.
Around 8.45pm police were called to a house in Forward Street. They located a 45-year-old man allegedly assaulting a 43 year old man.
Officers separated the two men and arrested the alleged offender.
Due to his medical condition officers provided immediate first aid to the victim including CPR, they were able to stabilise him enabling his immediate transfer to hospital.
The victim was transferred to Sir Charles Gardiner Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
A 45-year-old man has been charged with Attempted Murder.
He will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court today, Friday 18 October 2019.
