A better choice! retailer and Mango King, Sam Etri, is opening his third fruit and veg shop next weekend, Skippy’s Market Fresh at Rothwell. The 1,000 m² store will be the biggest on Brisbane’s northside and is set to employ 30 staff from the Moreton Bay community.
As a local, independent fruit and veg retailer, Sam is passionate about supporting and giving back to his local community. Last month, he bid $20,000 for a tray of mangoes to support charity and was crowned this year’s Brisbane Markets Mango King. Sam, along with business partner Nic, hope their new store will help them to better support the Moreton Bay community with quality, fresh produce, and outstanding service.
“I am dedicated to supporting my local community by employing staff from the area and sourcing the best local produce where I can,” said Sam.
Sam is also the owner of Skippy’s Fresh Frootz at Victoria Point and Skippy’s Farmhouse at Southport, and sources his produce daily for all three stores from the Brisbane Markets at Rocklea. Buying his fruit and vegetables daily from the Markets, means Sam can not only provide his customers with a large range of quality, fresh produce straight from thousands of Aussie farms, but is supporting local businesses and growers.
“I am looking forward to offering great quality fruit and vegetables at competitive prices to the Moreton Bay community.”
Skippy’s Market Fresh also offer a wide range of speciality and continental products including cheeses, nuts, biscuits, cold meats and dried pasta. Once inside, you will find more than just great quality fruit and vegetables.
