Orange’s newest streets will be called Maplewood, Woodlands and Whisperwood.
Under state regulations (Section 162 of the Roads Act 1993) Orange City Council is required to inform the community about new street names by placing an item on the council website.
The new streets are in a new housing subdivision in the new Shiralee housing area.
The new streets are off Shiralee Road.
Woodlands Circuit (shown on the map as Road 1) – Woodlands Circuit is a newly formed road in a Greenfields site located off the western end of Shiralee Road. It is proposed that Woodlands Circuit would start and finish off Shiralee Road.
Maplewood Street (shown on the map as Road 2) – Maplewood Street would be a newly formed road located in a Greenfields site on the western end of Shiralee Road. It would start off Shiralee Road and intersect with the newly formed Road of Woodlands Circuit.
Whisperwood Lane (shown on the map as Road 3) – Whisperwood Lane would be a newly formed road located in a Greenfields site on the western end of Shiralee Road. It would start off Shiralee Road and intersect with the newly formed Road of Woodlands Circuit.
