Hey Brisbane, get ready to welcome Boogie Wonderland!
Break out the sequins and prepare to dance BRISBANE because the national VELVET REWIRED tour is starting in the River City, from 16 November in the Raine & Horne Wynnum Spiegletent at the Wynnum Fringe.
Tickets are on sale from TODAY August 2 at wynnumfringe.com/event/velvet-rewired/
This big, bold, and beautiful production stars the iconic Marcia Hines as The Diva, Joe Accaria as The DJ and the spectacular Craig Reid as Hula Boy. They are joined by a cast of internationally acclaimed circus, dance performers and vocalists in a fusion of flawless glamour, glitz and jaw-dropping circus skills!
Born in the sequins and discotheque dust of the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2015, this international Australian success story returns to cities around Australia in a new, reinvented production that continues the extravaganza of music, dance and circus!
Velvet has always been a nightclub, a state of mind, a fantasy! In the new world of Velvet Rewired, director Craig Ilott has reworked his magic to transform the production into a fresh, new, sparkling vision of dreams, life and fulfilment!
The third annual Wynnum Fringe will welcome hundreds of interstate and Queensland artists and entertainers from 16 November to 4 December 2022. Brisbane’s only annual fringe festival celebrates the best in contemporary, independent and alternative arts and entertainment and is expected to attract more than 35,000 people over the 19-day event, with Velvet Rewired a major attraction.
