Police have coordinated a search and rescue operation in response to a marine incident overnight, on July 25.
Just after 10pm, police were informed that a mayday call had been received from a 6.9metre vessel that was sinking near Hardy Reef.
A multi-agency search and rescue operation was launched involving water police vessels, Volunteer Marine Rescue Association Queensland (VMRAQ) and a civilian boat.
Crews managed to get all three men, aged in their 40s and 50s, into a life raft before they were picked up by Water Police and transported back to the mainland by a VMR vessel.
