A search and rescue operation of the Brisbane River has commenced this afternoon following reports a man may be missing in the river.
Emergency services were called around 4:39pm to the Brisbane River at the end of Boundary Street following reports a man was in distress before witness lost sight of him.
Police and State Emergency Service (SES) volunteers commenced a search of the Brisbane River and near by areas and have so far failed to locate the man.
Search efforts ceased about 9.30pm this evening and will resume around 6am tomorrow, July 29.
