Master Builders Australia congratulates the Australian Labor Party on its election victory.
“We look forward to working with the new government on the challenges facing our industry and the nation such as the need to increase the supply of housing and urgently addressing the need for more skilled workers,” Denita Wawn, CEO of Master Builders Australia said.
“We urge the new government to consider the overwhelming weight of evidence that shows the entrenched problem of construction union unlawful industrial action and the economic cost it has for the community. Many members of the new government served in the Rudd/Gillard Government, and we urge them to follow its example and maintain a construction industry watchdog,” she said.
“Master Builders Australia looks forward to working with all members of the House of Representatives and the Senate in the new Parliament,” Denita Wawn said.
“Finally, Master Builders Australia commends the successful efforts of the Morrison Government in seeing Australia through the worst stages of the pandemic. This was an immense challenge, and the Coalition deserves credit for its stewardship during this period,” Denita Wawn said.
