The NRL has today announced the confirmation of a new Enterprise Agreement with the Match Officials.
The NRL and the Professional Rugby League Match Officials have agreed to a four-year partnership.
NRL Head of Football Elite Competitions Graham Annesley made the announcement today, alongside PRLMO chair Silvio Del Vecchio, Senior Manager Officiating Bernard Sutton, as well as Senior Match Official Ashley Klein.
“It is fantastic to be able to lock in a four-year term for the agreement, adding long-term security to our agreement with the Match Officials,” Mr Annesley said.
“NRL Match Officials operate in an incredibly challenging environment and we have some of the best, most talented officials in the country.
“The negotiations were always held in the right spirit and I’d like to acknowledge the role played by Silvio Del Vecchio during the process.”
Mr Del Vecchio said the agreement represented a significant outcome following a 12-month process.
“This deal signals the start of a relationship of recognition and respect,” Mr Del Vecchio said.
“Because if the Game doesn’t respect the match officials we can’t expect everyone else to. We are extremely satisfied with this outcome.”
