Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking information regarding a serious crash that occurred in Maylands last night, Friday 3 March 2023.
About 11pm, a white 2011 model Toyota Hilux utility was travelling west on Guildford Road and a red 2010 model Volkswagen Polo sedan was travelling east on Guildford Road, when they collided near Peninsula Road.
The driver of the Volkswagen Polo, a 71-year-old woman, sustained critical injuries in the crash and was conveyed by ambulance to hospital.
The 27-year-old male driver of the Toyota Hilux was also conveyed to hospital for medical treatment.
Anyone with information regarding this crash, or who saw either the Toyota Hilux utility or the Volkswagen Polo sedan travelling in the area prior to the crash, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
