People can now donate their new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items to help bring the Christmas cheer to those in the community experiencing hardship as part of the Mayor’s Christmas Appeal.
The appeal is open now until Friday, 18 December and all items donated will be given to the Macarthur Combined Churches who will distribute the gifts.
All donations will be safely cleaned in line with COVID-19 guidelines and people are encouraged to visit donation points individually to minimise foot traffic and keep contact to a minimum.
“This year has been challenging for many of us but it is important that we continue to dig deep this festive season and showcase that generous Campbelltown community spirit to help others in this difficult time,” Mayor George Brticevic said.
“We have opened the appeal early this year to help increase donations so that more families can celebrate Christmas,” Cr Brticevic said.
“So head down to one of our collection points and help spread a bit of festive cheer in our community,” he said.
Collection boxes are located at the Campbelltown Civic Centre and local libraries.
Second-hand or wrapped items are unable to be accepted.
