The Mayor’s Christmas Carols is back and bigger at the Broadwater Parklands on Saturday 3 December with a star-studded line-up and for the first year both a drone show and fireworks finale.

Fan favourite Anthony Callea will headline the show with Tim Campbell as special guest. There will also be performances from Queenslander Faith Sosene, Frankie and the Holiday Seasons and the Brisbane City Gospel Choir.

Meet the jolly man himself, Santa and the Warner Bros. Movie World’s Looney Tunes, who have returned for their Christmas Show.

“My favourite event of the year is even bigger as we look to close a night of fun, incredible performances and delicious food trucks with a world-class drone show,” Mayor Tom Tate said.

“Bring your picnic blankets to the Broadwater Parklands to kick-off the festive season.”

Village Roadshow Group CEO, Clark Kirby said the theme park operator was overjoyed to come onboard as the event’s presenting partner for a second year running.

“Our theme parks bring joy to families every day so we’re excited to help deliver another bumper night of entertainment for the community,” he said.

“Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Sylvester and Daffy Duck will all be joining in on the celebrations to get the Christmas party started.”

Wesley Kids is the charity for the event and will be onsite raising much needed funds for mental health services for Gold Coast children and their families.

The 2022 Mayor’s Christmas Carols is presented by Village Roadshow Theme Parks and proudly supported by 7NEWS Gold Coast and 1029 Hot Tomato.

The evening will be hosted by 7NEWS Gold Coast presenters Amanda Abate and Steve Titmus as well as 1029 Hot Tomato’s Emily Jade O’Keeffe and Carla Tooma.
