Premier Mark McGowan and his Cabinet are heading for Swan Hills, with the final Community Cabinet for 2018 to be held in Ellenbrook.
Over two days, Cabinet Ministers will be out and about in the Swan Hills community, meeting local residents and community groups and discussing the issues that matter most to them.
As part of the two-day visit, Premier Mark McGowan, State Government Ministers and Swan Hills MLA Jessica Shaw will host more than 100 community representatives in Ellenbrook for a Town Hall style meeting on Sunday (November 18).
On Monday (November 19), the Premier and Ministers will participate in a series of events including a breakfast with local business representatives, a Cabinet meeting, and a lunch with local not-for-profit representatives.
Key issues expected to be discussed include the Morley-Ellenbrook line, local jobs and youth affairs.
As stated by Premier Mark McGowan:
“Our Community Cabinets are a great opportunity for State Government Ministers to meet with local community members and hear from them directly about what issues matter most.
“I’m looking forward to visiting Swan Hills to see firsthand how our commitments are making a difference in the area.”
As stated by Swan Hills MLA Jessica Shaw:
“I’m looking forward to hosting the State Government Ministers in Swan Hills for the final Community Cabinet for 2018.
“We have a lot of exciting projects happening in our area including upgrades to our key roads including Lord Street, a brand new youth and community services centre and new tourism opportunities in our Perth Hills and the Swan Valley.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for local residents to hear about the McGowan Labor Government’s plans, including the much needed Ellenbrook rail.”
