³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ to Osborne Park football, cricket and bowling clubs – as well as the Osborne Park Agricultural Society – the $2.15 million facelift provides much-improved sport and recreation facilities for the local area.

The upgrades include a new larger playground, path network, picnic seating areas, barbecues, extra parking and new accessible public toilets.

The park’s fencing and amenities have also been upgraded, with a wider range of sport and recreation activities now supported including a new skate and scooter area and a half-court basketball and netball court.

The $2.15 million project has been championed by local member David Michael on behalf of local sport, recreation and community clubs, with the City of Stirling also providing $615,000 to get it off the ground.

Robinson Reserve is home to the annual Osborne Park Show and is widely used by locals for walking, jogging, dog walking and passive recreation as well as organised cricket, football and bowls.

As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Mick Murray:

“The upgraded Robinson Reserve provides the local community with so many ways to get outside and active, while providing meeting places for barbecues and social events.

“I congratulate David Michael on his great work to identify the need for these improvements and advocating for them on behalf of his community.

“I’d like to thank the City of Stirling for partnering with the McGowan Government to deliver this important project for young families, clubs and community groups in the local area.”

As stated by Balcatta MLA David Michael:

“I have lived in Tuart Hill all my life, so I am proud to deliver this for my local community and I am excited to see so many people using it on my walks.

“I have lobbied hard in all my dealings with the City of Stirling to make sure that gates are installed on the fence. I am very pleased to say they will be installed soon on most of the entrances.

“I look forward to supporting the Osborne Park Show again this year, and making sure that the Agricultural Society and other sporting and user groups are supported through the transition and Stage 2.”
