As Indonesia assumes its G20 Presidency starting 1 December 2021, we, the Foreign Ministers of Mexico, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Turkey and Australia – comprising MIKTA – would like to welcome Indonesia’s Presidency and its theme “Recover Together, Recover Stronger”.
MIKTA supports the emphasis Indonesia plans to bring to G20 by focusing on how the G20 can be relevant to developing nations and those who are in the most vulnerable situations; strengthening the global health architecture to better prevent, prepare for and respond to future pandemics; fair and equitable vaccine distribution; ensuring transitions to clean and renewable energies is achievable for all; digital transformation; and driving global economic recovery and resilience.
As fellow G20 members, with great diversity in our grouping, MIKTA supports Indonesia’s G20 priorities in its 2022 Presidency, as well as its fruitful and concrete outcomes.
