The Department of Jobs Precincts and Regions will launch its Regional Innovation Accelerator in Bendigo on Friday 11 October.
This four-year regionally focussed program will assist Mining Equipment Technology and Services companies to innovate and grow.
The launch will involve a forum where industry leaders outline what they look for in local partnerships and local businesses will talk about their successes. ³Ô¹ÏÍøÕ¾ case studies will also be presented.
To ensure that the program is tailored for the Bendigo area, we’ll be listening to local businesses about what they think would be valuable to support the sector and promote its growth.
Speakers at the forum include the Hon. Jaclyn Symes, Minister for Resources, Ian Holland (Vice President Australian Operations, Kirkland Lake Gold), Elizabeth Lewis-Gray (Deputy Chair METS Ignited and Co-Founder and Chairman, Gekko Systems) and Allison Deadman (General Manager, Safescape).
The Regional Innovation Accelerator program will help regionally based METS businesses work with local mining companies, fast-track product innovation and promote services in the marketplace.
