Council is pleased to let residents know that roadworks on Mitchell Avenue in Kurri Kurri kicked off this week.
The works are located on Mitchell Avenue, Kurri Kurri between Government Road and Northcote Street and are expected to take approximately 12 weeks to complete, weather depending.
The road upgrade will include drainage improvements, a new section of kerb and gutter, road pavement resurfacing, signs and line marking, and guardrail repairs and extension.
Cessnock City Mayor, Councillor Bob Pynsent said it’s always great to see road upgrade works happening across the Local Government Area (LGA), no matter how big or small the job.
“Our dedicated crews do a great job and I’m sure residents of Kurri Kurri will be pleased to see these works taking place.”
Traffic control measures will be in place for the duration of the works and will include a combination of traffic controllers and temporary traffic lights.
