A new ‘all wheels – all ages’ pump track is coming to Burnside. The pump track is a new and free recreational facility for all wheeled sports including bikes of all types, scooters, skateboards and the very cool balance bike for toddlers.
Celebrate with us the arrival of #rideburnside! Bring your bike, skateboard and scooters to the free Launch Party.
Saturday 29 February 12 noon – 2 pm.
Civic Centre car park (cnr Portrush Road and Fisher Street).
There’ll be a BBQ, music, skate shop tents, coffee van and face painting.
The pump track will be part of a 12 month trial across four locations in the City:
– Civic Centre (cnr Portrush Road and Greenhill Road) *29 Feb – 15 Jun*
– Newland Reserve, Erindale *15 Jun – 14 Sept*
– Miller Reserve, Linden Park *14 Sept – 30 Nov*
– Kensington Park Reserve, Kensington Park *30 Nov – 22 Feb 2021*

BYO bikes, skateboard, roller skates, scooters, balance bikes etc.
Safety stuff – some equipment is not suitable for use (3 wheels, go-karts, motorised equipment, bikes with training wheels), wear protective gear and helmet, keep distance between riders, daylight hours only, slippery when wet, parent/guardian supervision required.
History
On 12 November 2019 Council resolved to purchase a portable pump track and conduct a 12 month rotating trial across four locations: Kensington Park Reserve, Newland Reserve, Miller Reserve and the Civic Centre.
