Stage 2, Phase 1 of the Molong Town Centre Activation Plan is on schedule for completion by mid-March 2024. Works started on Friday 5 January 2024 and crews have already undertaken excavation for the StrataVault and poured the concrete walls. Crews are currently installing drainage and backfilling the StrataVault with soil which will then be topped with a concrete roof. It is expected that crews can start paving the new garden bed and refuge areas next week with tree planting to occur late February.
Once Phase 1 has been completed, crews will demobilise the site for a few weeks before returning to commence Stage 2, Phase 2.
The project is tracking well with Council crews working hard to ensure the project is delivered in a timely manner.
Council encourages everyone to continue to support the local business in Molong while the Activation Project is being undertaken. There is plenty of parking on Bank Street, Gidley Street, along Watson Street and at the Railway Station with only a short distance to access the businesses.
