Residents of Bouldercombe can expect a smoother drive along Aremby Road in future, as Rockhampton Regional Council begin works this week.
Infrastructure Portfolio spokesperson, Councillor Tony Williams, said 750m of the road was getting a bitumen seal.
“We are investing $250,000 into improving this road for residents, and it’s going to make a real difference.
“750m of bitumen seal will go onto Aremby Road, and we are widening it too.
“This will connect the sealed area at the end of Gum Tree Avenue and the concrete floodway, making for a smoother drive all round.
“We will also be adding traversable table drains, realigning the road slightly, and putting up signage.
“This is in addition to the $290,000 we have spent on sealing 830m of Nugett Avenue and 150m of Oleander Avenue, which was finished last month.
“Our crews are out there now doing the work on Aremby Road work, and are due to finish in early July.
“I want to thank the community for their patience while we get this done, and hope they’re looking forward to enjoying the benefits.”
